Under some obscure circumstances (related to PostgreSQL or Linux distro upgrade???), LXR can't connect to PostgreSQL through Unix domain socket. Work around is to connect through TCP socket. To play it safe, parameter 'dbname' in lxr.conf can be modified to include ';host=localhost' after the DB name to force TCP socket.
