flexible hose not visible in main step when used in submodel

In step 5 of this submodel I add two flexible technic hoses:

In the main step when finishing the submodel the hoses are not there:

What am I doing wrong?

Did you insert the flex hoses as a submodel into the file or as an external file?

I think I found it. You used the 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP END in the same step as where the flex hoses are added. LPub can't handle that (correctly). Add a 0 STEP just right before the 0 !LPUB MULTI_STEP END. Let me know if that works.
