Add theNoisemaker VST and at least 1 note then move that note or notes. Provided the Muse piano roll speaker is turned on, you will hear the note moved to until you hit the panic button or exit muse because the note hangs.

    When I saw:

    - Fixed some vst controls stuck.

In the latest svn changelog of what I'm running here now, I thought that might include the fixing of stuck VST notes too but alas its not so. You still only need to move one NM note for it to stick/hang but the panic button works with NM.

You can move singular notes around fine using Aspect but as soon as you move 2 or more Aspect notes it starts sticking. The panic button doesn't work to shut up Aspect - instead you have to move one of the notes alone (then move it back) or kill muse to shut Aspect up.

This is actually not related to the vst stuff.
This is ongoing from when the feature of making sound
    while moving notes was added.
    We've observed it too.

Robert can you revisit that issue if I don't get a chance?

    Thanks. Tim.

Thanks for clearing that up Tim!

Whilst it might be cool if MusE could intelligently detect when you're moving a chord and sound it, I'd say the easiest and likely best 'fix' to this would be for Muse to only sound individual drawn/moved notes as I know that when I'm moving multiple bars worth of notes I do not want muse to try to play them all at once every step of the way and nor do I want to have to switch off speaker mode whenever I move a bunch of notes only to turn it back on again after.

I did not have noisemaker at hand but I've checked in a fix with having stuck notes when moving multiple notes, I'd be happy if you could test it.

    Hi Robert!

Aspect doesn't make any noise when I move notes now, which is preferable to stuck notes which is unfortunately what is still happening with Noisemaker.

You can download and test it for yourself from here:

    http://distrho.sourceforge.net/ports.php

It's within the TAL plugin bundle, of course.

    Thanks!

    Excuse me!

Aspect does still preview single notes when you move them but doesn't do so when you move 2 or more notes so thats spot on - its just Noisemaker being awkward now.

Took me a while but I tried NoiseMaker now and it seems working also.

Setting to pending, if there is nothing further we'll close it in a while

I've just tried moving a NM note under the latest svn under Deb Wheezy 64 and it still hangs.

hangs = the note sustains the currently selected pitch indefinitely after moving it until you push the panic button or close muse.

    Excuse me!

Between compiling and installing the latest svn under Deb 64 I ended up rebooting into AVL which is where I mistakenly tried testing for this bug again! :)

I've just tried again but this time under the platform and version I claimed and indeed this does seem to be fixed now which is great news indeed! I'll try it under AVL soon too but yes I think its pretty safe to say this is fixed now - thanks!
