Hi, I bought a brand new multiefects pedalboard for my guitar and it works at 44.1khz so seems that I can't use it with Jamulus. Is some way to use it? Can the sample rate of the pedalboard be updated somehow? Can I use a diferent ASIO Driver that increase the sample rate?
Thanks

You will have to talk to the manufacturer of your pedalboard if they have the possibility to change the sampling rate either in hardware or software. Note that a software solution in a driver will always be connected with a degradaton of the sound quality.
In any case there is nothing that Jamulus can do for you.

I find it strange that manufacturers lock their products to one sample rate. I can understand if it is optimized for one sample rate but at least offering 44100Hz and 48000Hz to cover the basic/common sample rates is something I think they should do even if that means one is less optimized. That can be described in the manual and the product could warn the the sample rate they choose is not what the product has been been optimized for. All this though is written without any knowledge of how har this might be to code, etc.

Writing code to do sample rate conversion is just a band-aid. They should make their hardware work at different sampling rates, then there is no quality loss.

Hi, the sample rate is simething that can be change throught software (firmware update for ex) or it's something "phisically" of the sound card that can't be modified?

It depends on your unit. Only the manufacturer can say for sure. You will have to contact them.
Thanks, I will contact them.
