Hi,
Yesterday I just tried linwizard with gpe and I was surprised it was fully working on my Elfin ! Even the touchscreen is fully functionnal, the only problem for now is none of the applications work but it's already a great step.
So i'm using the package http://tinderbox.x86.dev.gentoo.org/embedded/linwizard/gizard-20080602.tar.bz2, I tried the latest ones but I have a kernel panic each time and only this specific release is fine on my elfin.
So my question is what version of linwizard is included with this release as my touchscreen isn't working with the linwizard 2.0 available on this website...
Also I have another question, I got the sources from the gni mirror and my question is why do we need to add other git repo ? as the kernel seems to compile with only the gni mirror sources.
thank you for your hard work !
Alex

This is great news. Did you notice if your Elfin LEDs change state when booting linux? I'm curious how similar is the Elfin to the Wizard.

They are very fast mirrors of the main repo, just choose one gni mirror :)

Please stop by #linwizard when you have some time. The HTC Elfin looks fairly similar to the HTC Wizard, so we should officially support it with linwizard.
Thanks,

I replaced your new kernel in the last three gizard archive (as i wasn't sure the initr was the same) but it always hangs with kernel error followed but error: bad pc value
kernel panic not syncing fatal exception in interrupt. rebooting in 30s :(
using the 20080602 archive files, the boot process is quite silent, but with your new kernel i have thousands line of text scrolling for minutes before the linwizard background image appears...
i'll try to come on #linwizard later today.

wonderful news !
i compiled the linwizard kernel myself and now the latest gpe works on my elfin !
but now touchscreen control is mirrored so when i go up it goes down... but left and right are ok.
also i have "Gdk-WARNING **: shmget failed: error 38 (Function not implemented)" each time i try to launch an application, but sometimes applications works.

While I think the zImage bundled in that package is almost the same as previous versions, can you try this particular kernel? This is the one with major changes in the cpld driver (which might be causing problems to you).
