LAC needs better support for users that want to fly without a joystick. LAC inherited two modes of mouse-based flight control from it's "gl-117" predecessor.

Players switch between these two modes by activating or de-activating "RELATIVE" mode in the "MOUSE CONTROLS" menu.

All players have heretofore been switching "RELATIVE" to "OFF" because trying to fly in "MOUSE RELATIVE" mode has generated a lot of segmentation errors during violent flight maneuvers.

When "RELATIVE" is switched "OFF", mouse control of ailerons and elevators allow powerful flight control, but the player must return his mouse to a permanent center position between maneuvers. Until the mouse position returns to its neutral starting-point, it constantly applies turning or rolling forces to the player's flight path. This can make it cumbersome to completely end a maneuver and return to straight-and level flight, but it can be overcome with practice.

In "MOUSE RELATIVE" mode, the player does not need to return his mouse position to its starting-point in order to fly straight and level. As soon as mouse motion ceases, the controls return to normal and stabilize. It's easier for beginners, but it suffers from segmentation fault errors whenever the player moves his mouse too rapidly.I really need to find and fix the bugs that cause these segmentation errors in support of players that may prefer to use their mouse in "MOUSE RELATIVE" mode for flight control.

This has been fixed in version 8.02. The results are NICE for those without a joystick.

If you have been struggling to fly LAC without a joystick, you are going to LIKE this version 8.02!
