hello team! i am working on an dell sk-8135 keyboard and have made an keyboard definition. only the rotary knob does not work because that is an special knob and not an button. so xev and dmesg does not generate any keycodes. all other buttons on the keyboard are working. here is an link to an picture of this keyboard. the keyboard is sold out with all newer dell workstation such as optiplex gx620 and others. http://img.pcom.cn/2005-02-28/20050228_2143_8135-1.jpg now the keyboard definition: [DELL-SK-8135] # Mario Kleinsasser brandname = "Dell" modelname = "SK-8135" [KEYS] Back = 234 Forward = 233 Stop = 232 Refresh = 231 WWW = 130 Mail = 236 AudioMute = 160 AudioPlay|Pause = 162 AudioStop = 164 AudioPrev = 144 AudioNext = 153 AudioMedia = 129 MyComputer = 198 Calculator = 161 [END KEYS] [END DELL-SK-8135] can you inform me if you apply this keycodes to the lineakkd.def for general. i only want to know. :-) best regards! -- Echte DSL-Flatrate dauerhaft für 0,- Euro*! I recently swapped my pci soundblaster live card for the onboard sound on my intel motherboard. Lineak thinks that it's changing the volume (and it's certainly changing *some* volume), but neither the volume nor the pcm volume adjustments actually affect the real volume. Not sure where to look for this other than to say that I'm running alsa (but I was with the old card, too). Would appreciate any help I can get in tracking down why this doesn't wor= k. -Chris |

Hi all, =20 Some of you may have heard of ITEA free/libre and open source research project called COSI (Co -development of open source in software intensive products). As part of the COSI project, we are trying to better understand the role of architecture in FLOSS development. =20 I hope that you could spare five minutes of your valuable time for this effort and complete our survey. I have posted it to a few carefully selected FLOSS communities. =20 We understand that you are busy and therefore we made the questionnaire short: it has only 11 questions with pre-defined answer options. Statistical results will be shown to you immediately. =20 To answer the survey, please go to http://www.freewebs.com/architectureenquiry/smallscaleprojects.htm <http://www.freewebs.com/architectureenquiry/mediumscaleprojects.htm>=20 =20 As members of a FLOSS community, let your views and experiences be known. I'm looking forwards to your positive response. =20 Many thanks in advance. =20 Kind regards, =20 Katja Henttonen Technical Research Centre of Finland (http://www.vtt.fi <http://www.vtt.fi> ) kat...@vt... =20 |

Generally after running for a long time... though I don't use lineak that often (meaning I don't use multimedia keys that often) so it could be anywhere from 5 minutes to 60. Other than disconnecting from xosd, it doesn't seem to affect things. It's similar to problems I used to have with the xosd plugin (pre 0.8, I think) where lineakd would get unstable when using xosd, and eventually just stop responding, since I have seen similar behavior in .9, too, though very rare (often happening at startup, and not easily replicated). -Chris |

It's only in the development tree (rawhide), but I just committed the last batch of packages to the extras repository, so within the next day or so (whenever the next data push happens) you should be able to grab packages for lineakd and plugins for fedora from yum or here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/extras/development/ -Chris |

Chris, Can you update your repository from CVS. Then run make distclean and then remove all the Makefile.in configure configure.in and Makefile s from all directories. Then run make -f Makefile.dist and ./configure. After that it should work. I don't know why the DESTDIR is getting duplicated, it's very odd. Strange. However, I need you to patch the Makefile.am not the Makefile.in as that is autogenerated from the Makefile.am when you do a make -f Makefile.dist --- Chris Petersen <li...@fo...> wrote: > > And one for the default plugin. > > Looks like the others compile fine. > > -Chris > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > All the advantages of Linux Managed Hosting--Without > the Cost and Risk! > Fully trained technicians. MAN, I wish cvs was as easy to use as subversion. Anyway, I finally dug out the patch here: http://lineak.cvs.sourceforge.net/lineak/lineakd/lineakd/Makefile.am?r1=1.11&r2=1.12&view=patch It doesn't seem to change things, though. Chris, I've had a look and for some reason DESTDIR in lineakd/Makefile.am is causing duplicate paths in thise directory, but not in the lineak or utils directory. I believe that I have fixed it however, in CVS. You can pull from CVS, it has no further changes to the release done today. Let me know how it goes before I replace the tarball on sourceforge. Hello, Just to let everyone know that I've released Lineak 0.9 Please download and test and if you discover any issues please file a bug report and/or post to the list. (post to the list to make me aware of it as I don't check the bug report thingy very often.) 0.9 fixes some bugs in the lineak library that were rarely triggered, it also cleans up some of the api and provides functionality requred by klineakconfig. Klineakconfig 0.9 has also been released and requires lineak 0.9. There were also many keyboards added, but not within the last few weeks. (Since the 0.9 pre's were released.) Cheers, Sheldon. |
