Dear Marry, 6 months ago I was let go from a job I held for 312 months would you believe. Its very hard to thank you enough for launching me in this industry. You have given me a new beginning on life. Already making twice as much as I took home in my old job. I purchased for cash a new Jaguar. Taking home 165,000US in 18 months. I am having a great time in this profession. It's a blast and I am a hero to the courts and to my customers. What an outstanding career to be in. Following exactly what your instruction tells me to do, is proceeding perfectly. I go to the local court and locate all of the customers I can handle. I draw on your advanced reporting services to find all items which can be seized. Using your fill in the blank forms I deliver them to the appropriate firms. Then the funds arrive to my PO Box. Its like magic. Its so exciting opening up the payments as they arrive.. I can take a holiday when ever we have a notion to do so. England and Japan this year. Provide this letter to others. This profession is so untapped it needs many more of us assisting the courts and the people who have been harmed. Sincerely, Pat W. WA This can be you! P H O N E 303--395--3900 Higher to learn more or to discontinue receiving more info and then to see location Gaining the street he approached a gendarme and repeated his question, with no better result than before, for the fellow waved his arms wildly in all directions and roared a volley of incomprehensible French phrases that conveyed no meaning whatever. If ever I travel in foreign countries again, said Rob, I'll learn their lingo in advancem2 |

John, lineakd -vv will show in its output whether or not the plugin loaded. I'd say it's a pretty good guess that your plugin did not load, but only the debugging output will tell you why. (If you just did some sort of upgrade maybe you have a version mismatch between the plugin and lineakd. They need to be at the same revision to work.) In the latter case, a keycode would be also assigned to that key so that in future, kernel produces proper keycode for that key. > I already tried to convert the lineak keyboard description to a more regular > form using X11 keysyms as basis. I haven't followed what happened to the keyboard descriptions in the 0.9 release. I remember Sheldon was talking something about standardizing the keynames. Tommi |

Hi! I am currently looking for a solution to get the additional keys on laptops to work on Fedora. I had a deeper look at lineak, keytouch and hotkey-setup but I did not yet find anything that I am 100% happy with. Things I am currently thinking about are: 1. The keyboard configuration and the actions that should be invoked by pressing the keys should be separated. The keys should be mapped to X11 keysyms and some user daemon or the desktop environment (like GNOME or KDE) should care about invoking actions. I am aware that there are a lot of X keysyms missing. May be they can get added to X. 2. The hot keys should get part of the regular keyboard configuration. On the linux console this would need another config item in /etc/sysconfig/keyboard and to extend init scripts. And the proper keymaps of course. On X there are already some internet keyboards others would have to be added to xkb/rules/base and xkb/symbols/inet. That way they would automatically availabe in the regular config tools. 3. Auto detection. The only project that works a bit in that direction is hotkey-setup that detect laptop brands and models to configure the keyboard. This obviously doesn't work for non laptop keyboards or keyboards attached to a laptop. The way to go would be to use /usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids but it is notorously outdated and incomplete. A project like lineak could probably collect usb ids from its users and also use them for autodetecting keyboards. This would obviously only work for USB keyboards. AFIK there is no way of detecting PS/2 keyboards (would love to be wrong here). I already tried to convert the lineak keyboard description to a more regular form using X11 keysyms as basis. While this can be don for a large number of keyboards it is a lot of work and not completely possible for some others. Any ideas or comments are welcome. Florian Festi PS.: I found some lines in lineakd-0.9/lineakd/lineakkb.def that looked suspicious to me. I attached a patch to fix them (as far as I think they should look like) |

Hello Everyone, Since the Lineak 0.9 release, Lineak and KLineakConfig has seen little development, if any at all. To be honest, shortly after the last release I got a promotion and since then I have not had any time to work on the project at all. (I do have some pending changes to KLineakConfig to allow you to configure mouse buttons, etc.) That said, Lineak is either likely to go dormant for quite some time or I need someone to take over the project. (Hopefully someone who knows C++.) Things that need doing: API Cleanup. (It's not the greatest code in the world.) Fix some of the X code. For some reason there are still issues with the X code. The input system needs to be abstracted out into a plugin based system so that we can accept input from either the Linux event system or from X. (This way Lineak could be used from the console as well.) A way is needed for users to easily (i.e. through a GUI of some sort) define their keyboards for keys that are not recognized by the kernel, then update the kernels keymap so that they remain recognized permanently. (A system that could create and update a keymap dynamically would allow us to do away with our keyboard "database" that is now really really long.) Currenly the keyboard database is parsed and the entire thing is loaded into memory. This was fine when it was small, but now it's large and getting larger. This needs to be evaluated. (Keeping in mind that the GUI and a lineakd -r allow you to change the keyboard in your config file, or present a list of all available keyboards b/c it has an object that contains all of the information about all of the keyboards lineak knows about. If we change the loading of all keyboards, the GUI and lineakd will have to change how they do things.) BDUS integration. If someone is willing to step up and take on the project please email me and we'll discuss what needs to be done. I can provide some guidance until you are familiar with the code base. Cheers, Sheldon. |

You need a plugin for your media player. There are KDE plugins that do what you are sking for for Amarok and Juk. dAgeCKo <da...@fr...> wrote: Contunuing to my excursion threw lineak, I was thinking of that point: here is an example, making things easier to understand (due to my poor english): I use forward and backward media keys to go to the next or previous song from my media player. The behavior of lineak, printing the command issued, seems correct. Besides, I would much rather have the command printed to the screen so that if something unexpected happens, I can make sure it's a configuration issue or that I hit the wrong key, not that the program is behaving in an unexpected way. But truly, most linux media players have a plug-in, or are built, with the ability to print the song title to the screen. -- "This rudderless world is not shaped by vague metaphysical forces. Here is the full part config for such a keyboard: [LTUMD] brandname =3D "Logitech" modelname =3D "UltraX Media Desktop / Y-RR63" [KEYS] AudioMedia =3D129 Play|Pause =3D162 AudioMute =3D160 WWW =3D130 Next =3D153 Previous =3D144 VolumeUp =3D176 VolumeDown =3D174 [END KEYS] [END LTUM] All those keys work perfectly and even previous and next (was simply due to the fact I was using the config from another keyboard model). I haven't found how to support the other keys yet. Hopefully it will be useful. -- dAgeCKo |

Hi, first sorry if I'm not at the right list but I thought this matches best the purposes of this mail. I have a logitech ultrax media destkop. I first thought this was the same as [LTUM] or ultrax media (model name Y-BL49A), but I guess it isn't as some keys (I personally configured) aren't recognized at launch. The model name of my keyboard is: Y-RR63. Here is the config for such a keyboard (still not full): ### from LTUM [LTUM2] brandname =3D "Logitech" modelname =3D "UltraX Media Desktop/ Y-RR63" [KEYS] AudioMedia =3D129 ## this is not audio but wireless controler Play|Pause =3D162 AudioMute =3D160 Favorites =3D230 Mail =3D236 ## can't ensure this one for the moment WWW =3D130 Next =3D153 Previous =3D144 VolumeUp =3D176 VolumeDown =3D174 Mute =3D160 [END KEYS] [END LTUM2] What should I do ? Keep LTUM, edit a new one ? -- dAgeCKo |
