Hello,

I'm using new 2.07.

I got a block issue, think this is a bug.

  1. create a block called "block1"
  2. explode this block that you can edit each line - dont know the english function-name, I'm using german version :-)
  3. delete this block from blocklist
  4. Edit sketchto fit your additional requirements for the block
  5. create this block new called as before "block1"

--> Errormessage, block exists and cannot create new block with same name.

Hope you understand ;-)

Regards

Andreas

Duplicate of [#463] as it is [#488]

To modify a Block you don't have to explode it. You can modify it in a separate window. Select the block in the block list and Use Edit Block (Block bearbeiten) from Block menu.

      Hello Lord OfBikes,

I know this functionallity, but If you have some changes which depends on
other "views" or parts of the sketch, this doesn't make sense, because for
now it's not possible to copy parts between sketches by a function (only
      also using blocks).

      See my feature request #168.

When I explode Block I can do the changes without any problems, but create
block again isn't possible with same name (after you deleted the obsolete
      block).

If you save the sketch, close LibreCad and start again, you can create the
      block.

So I think the name of the block is still in memory and isn't deleted with
the deletion of the obsolete block.

      Regards

      Andreas

        Hello Andreas,

        I understand your point.

The ticket was closed, because the reasons for this behaviour and possible solutions are already discussed in bug ticket [#463]. It's now up to somebody to realize a solution.

        Armin
