Dispite not being able to mount it via mtp using mtpfs (it also hangs at this very point), the device is the following Vendor/Model:

Onda V972v1
CPU: AllWinner A31 SoC @ 1.00 GHz (4 cores)
GPU: Imagination PowerVR SGX 544MP
OS: Android 4.2.2, Kernel 3.3.0 (20130704)
RAM: 2GB
Internal: 32GB (2G/24G)

The Android is the official one from Onda. The 2G partition has the OS on it, I don't know but assume that another rescue partition is hidden (hence the difference: 32GB internal, but 2G+24G=26GB, so 6G are used by something else?).
The 24G partition is mountable through USB storage protocol (and will end all running Apps from that storage partition), together with any external Micro SD card or USB pen drive (via the micro USB slot?).

MTP would be more convenient, as running Apps wouldn't necessarilly have to be stopped.

needs some futher special device flags. If a device has "siblings"
in the database (similar devices from same manufacturer) we
often add default bug flags like its closest siblings, and sometimes
this is right, sometimes bugs have been fixed so it's wrong.

For Android devices: notice that these often have SEVERAL device IDs,
not just one. Usually all combined USB modes (like MTP+MSC, MTP+modem,
MTP+ADB etc) have their own device ID. This is because Windows cannot
handle a VID+PID changing functionality on-the-fly. (Linux can, BTW.)
