Hello and thanks to have created such a lib to support usoft shity MTP stuff,
As suggested by the command 'jmtpfs -l'
my mobile phone seems not to be recognized:
jmtpfs -l
Device 0 (VID=04b7 and PID=88d0) is UNKNOWN in libmtp v1.1.13.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
Available devices (busLocation, devNum, productId, vendorId, product, vendor):
2, 48, 0x88d0, 0x04b7, UNKNOWN, UNKNOWN
it is a CAT S31 mobile phone (please never buy it!!!)
I am running linux on an old X61 laptop
Linux 4.9.0-3-686 #1 SMP Debian 4.9.30-2+deb9u5 (2017-09-19) i686 GNU/Linux
Hope it will help?...
Have a good day!
Johann

Hello,
xxx:~$ jmtpfs garminlokal
Device 0 (VID=091e and PID=50a2) is UNKNOWN in libmtp v1.1.17.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
It is a Garmin Forerunner 265s.
[2940086.404702] usb 2-2: new high-speed USB device number 37 using xhci_hcd [2940086.557149] usb 2-2: New USB device found, idVendor=091e, idProduct=50a2, bcdDevice= 0.01 [2940086.557154] usb 2-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=5 [2940086.557156] usb 2-2: SerialNumber: 0000d0b401af
Maybe the problem has already been solved in a newer version (but my Debian is old, as is the hardware, never change a running system :-) )
Best regards,
Jutta
