libmtp version: 1.1.13

Device 0 (VID=17ef and PID=79de) is UNKNOWN in libmtp v1.1.13.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
This is for a Lenovo Tab 3 10 Plus
How long does it normally take to update libmtp to the next release? I'm just curious as I'm eager to connect to my device.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys do, people like me truly appreciate what it takes to make life easier for the rest of us.

i added it to git for the next release.

it should be sufficient to add it locally to the udev rules or hwdb, depending on your distribution.

This will give the device userspace permissions and it will work.

As root it should work even now

(I am doing approx 6 monthly releases.)
