Hi, Just to summarize the situation here: Quite a few devices don't work with our send object property list. These include the Creative ZVM (the model that Daniel has, which in fact is different to mine), Creative Zen V Plus and I think the iRiver T30. (There will be others I'm sure but these are ones I know.) We send the object property list and get an I/O error return. I think it's very important we fix this before the 0.1 release as it has broken quite a few devices. On the other hand, it has fixed some others that don't work with send object! As I said in Daniel's thread, it looks like we are sending a correct property list. A few comments though: 1. We don't send the storage ID, which WMP does. 2. Why do we disable split headers before some transactions? WMP uses split headers to send the object property list (on my device at least). 3. We fixed a bug in string packing a few days ago - this could cause this error so anyone experiencing it please get the current code. So if anyone has a player that gives this error please play about with the above and try anything else you can think of. To me this is the main obstacle before 0.1 release. Thanks, Richard. |
