I am having trouble getting an MTP connection to my Verizon LG G3 (2014 model).

Here is my output using libmtp:

Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
Found 1 device(s):

Here is my output using jmtpfs:
[grease-lightning]/home/.../builds/jmtpfs$ jmtpfs -l
Device 0 (VID=1004 and PID=627f) is UNKNOWN.
Please report this VID/PID and the device model to the libmtp development team
Available devices (busLocation, devNum, productId, vendorId, product, vendor):

    I have added the ID to our GIT, will be in the 1.1.10 libmtp release.

    this probably is a permission issue you observe here, where it is not accessible from userspace.
