Sorry, I think this may need to be re-opened (and thank you). Does this have all the required information?

It's a HTC One M9 (purchased in Australia, if that makes any differance), running CyanogenMod (https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Himaul_Info)

I have added the id, but it would be nice to see mtp-detect output (as root, so it gets access to the device even without specificic entry)

I have the exact same problem. It used to work but since putting cyanogenmod 13.0 on my rooted phone it sadly does not connect
