We just reboot nightly to clean out the bazillian session keys from /tmp.  

We have had performance issues related to the size of this accumulation.

It seems like my /tmp is filling up with A LOT of micro files.
Since there are so many files, a simple deletion of them are taking forever. I just noticed this today, so it might be worth checking out at your server too. The easiest way is to run

du -d1 -h

when you're in /.

Anyhow, I'm testing out a script that cleans tmp every night for a couple of hours.
