I wouldn't - for all I know, I didn't write the code ( 
http://leaf.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/leaf/src/bering-uclibc/buildtool/buildtool/Make/Common.pm?view=log 
seems to confirm that), and I'm afraid these days, my knowledge about it 
is about the same as everybody else's who uses buildtool to build 
sources (probably less in some instances).
