No quads as far as I know, but I think I've seen duals before.  Anyway,
you could plug multiple single-port ISA cards into a single system, even
eight or more (IIRC, I had ISA systems with 9 or 10 expansion
slots..."back in the day").

Yes, PCI is *MUCH* better than ISA for multiple cards, but I've learned
from experience you never know what folks will try.
