I've upload the 2.4  release candidate 1 on

2.4 adds some interesting features, like the full Adobe algorithm for 
black point detection, more floating point formats supported, IEEE 
754-2008 "half" floating point format and some performance improvements. 
There is also a new plug-in type for whole transform optimization that 
can give significant performance improvements in future releases.

2.4 Release is scheduled for 2012-August's end week, unless any serious 
bug would be found.

I would appreciate any testing you would like to do.
