LaTeX in Word migrated to Github!

LaTeX in Word has been migrated to Github:

Client: https://github.com/EngineeroLabs/latex_in_word
Server: https://github.com/EngineeroLabs/Process_LaTeX

Thanks to the awesome community at Github, a new version of the server that runs natively on Windows has been added!

LaTeX in Word back up and running!

After a bit of boxing with the new server's implementation of LaTeX, LiW is now back up and running! I apologize for the interruption. I have tested it and everything seems to be working nominally, but please let me know if you experience any issues and what you did that caused them. I will try to debug as quickly as possible.

Still fixing server migration issues

I apologize for the interruption in LiW service these last several weeks. The server that runs the LaTeX commands was migrated to a new file system recently, and the implementation of LaTeX on this file system has been causing all kinds of issues. I am actively working to fix this problem, and hope to have LiW back up and running very soon.

If you are able to set up your own server, then the current version of LiW should continue to work for you. I will release an updated version that utilizes the /tmp directory for generating equation images and is maybe a little bit more robust to server architecture as soon as I get it to work on our server.... read more

Downtime due to server migration

If you use LaTeX in Word and have not set up your own server, you may notice an interruption in service while the server that we are hosted on is migrated to new hardware. As I work to get this back up and running, I will also be working on localization improvements such as support for Arabic and Persian numerals.

Thank you for your patience and for using LaTeX in Word.
