As I stated already on IRC, >=gentoolkit-0.3.0_rc10 nearly all equery modules and now eclean are python importable and data can be acquired directly without the need for parsing terminal output. The few equery modules that I did not convert had only one or two lines of data acquisition code and were primarily all output formatting code.
This of course would need a "C" interface lib created to be directly usable in kuroo.
