Hello, You may know of the upcoming software centers in KDE and GNOME. These require that packages ship an appdata.xml file which is to be installed in /usr/share/appdata/ . The file contains a brief description of the package, links to 16:9 screenshots and website and contact info. You can read more about the specifications here: http://people.freedesktop.org/~hughsient/appdata/ or here: http://www.freedesktop.org/software/appstream/docs/chap-Quickstart.html There is also a pending proposal for the next versions of Fedora to not include in the software centers packages without appdata (though a user could install them from the terminal with dnf or yum). Although I do not use graphical installers myself, I think that the software centers present a great opportunity for developers to showcase their applications and of course for the users, to discover said applications. If you do not have enough time, I could write an appdata for you and provide 16:9 screenshots, though I do not use KDE, so it would appear with MATE or GNOME window decorations. Please let me know of your decision, so that I may update the list of applications in Fedora. Best regards Alex |
