I ran into this problem will investigating the square bracket issue I just mentioned. If I perform a rename operation that doesn't work as expected, then undo and try to rename the files again, KRename tries to use the "undone" file names for the source files for the second attempt. I know that probably doesn't make a lot of sense, so here's an example: 1. Load the following source file in KRename: 1-07 Take Flight (Wings) [Pocketman].flac 2. Rename with the following template: 1##-[$6-] 3. Get the following output: 101-Take Flight (Wings) \[Pocketman\].flac 4. Realize the issue with the brackets and Undo the operation 5. Try to rename the files again by selecting Rename more..., Rename Processed Files Again 6. Switch to the Filename tab 7. Note that the source file is named: 101-Take Flight (Wings) \[Pocketman\].flac At this point, the file on the filesystem has been reset back to its original name, so the source name in KRename should be reset as well to match. -- Jared |
