Hello Everyone :)
Funny you should ask, Dom :)  As soon as I read the above quoted
message, I uninstalled the Krename that I was running (or I hadn't
installed it yet after a recent re-install of Fedora-Core)  I then
proceeded to install the exact version of Krename that Steeve is having
issues with, using the same method that he did (clicking on the RPM's
icon and following the directions that resulted)  The result was that
everything worked perfectly for me :(  So I have no helpful information
for you at this time :(

Steeve, I don't know if it will do any good, since the original RPM
worked perfectly on my system, but I built another Krename 2.8.5 RPM for
Fedora Core 1, and you will find it at the following location:
http://www.faith4miracle.org/krename-2.8.5-2rhfc1/krename-2.8.5-2rhfc1.i386.rpm

My abilities only go far enough to build RPM's.  Unfortunatley, I'm
pretty much lost other than that.
If you get any further information that can help us help you, please let
us know :)

One thing I just thought of: when I have issues with RPM being
completley unresponsive, I run the following command as root, and the
problem is always fixed:

rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db.00*

This removes the "lock" files that RPM creates.  After removing them,
RPM is always back to normal for me.  Now, this might not explain your
original problem, but at least maybe it will help you get Krename off
your system, so you can try installing it again :)
