Hello, Dom :) I just downloaded, and attempted to compile, Krename 2.9.0. Unfortunately, "make" eneded with the following error: batchrenamer.cpp: In member function `void BatchRenamer::parseSubdirs(data*)': batchrenamer.cpp:811: warning: `exists' is deprecated (declared at /usr/local/kde/include/kio/netaccess.h:267) batchrenamer.cpp:811: warning: `mkdir' is deprecated (declared at /usr/local/kde/include/kio/netaccess.h:337) batchrenamer.cpp:812: warning: format not a string literal and no format arguments batchrenamer.cpp: At global scope: batchrenamer.cpp:821: error: cannot declare member function `static QString BatchRenamer::buildFilename(fileentry*, bool)' to have static linkage make[2]: *** [batchrenamer.o] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/steve/krename-2.9.0/krename' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/steve/krename-2.9.0' make: *** [all] Error 2 I am still running Fedora Core 1, with all the official updates installed, including the updated kernel. As far as un-orthodox items in our system, we are currently running the following: 1. KDE 3.1.94 from KDE's offical Fedora RPM's 2. The version of QT that KDE 3.1.94 requires. This also is from KDE's official Fedora RPM's 3. Fedora Core's development version of XFree86. I installed this to get another program that I wanted to try working. I can downgrade if necessary. I have not had any known issues with this upgrade to XFree86. This is all that I can think of for the moment :) Have a Great Day :) Steven P. Ulrick |
