Hello, everyone :) I have had the following problem with krename-2.6.0rc2: with every other version of Krename I've ever used (I've used quite a few :)), when I have files ready to be renamed, and I am on the "Filename" screen, I was always able to double-click on a filename of my choice in the "Renamed" column, and a dialog box would come up saying "Please input a new filename:" I would then proceed to change the name to what I wanted it to be, and the name of that file would then turn to red, so that when I clicked "Finish", the name would be permanently changed. That's how it used to work: read below for how it works now. It still works the same up to the point where I click "Ok" on the "Please input new filename:" box. Now, when I make my changes and click "Ok", the box dissapears just like it did in previous versions, but the filename does not turn red, and the file is not renamed. I just did an experiment, and checked the name of the file, just to see if it was actually renamed, but Krename just wasn't accurately relaying that fact. The result was that the file actually was not renamed. Before I made this report, I uninstalled the RPM for Krename that I had made (the new one, the one that hasn't been uploaded yet) and reinstalled from the tar.bz2 file, just to make sure there wasn't a problem with the RPM I made, and I had exactly the same results that I reported above. If you have any questions, or need any clarification, please feel free to ask me. I'm here to help :) Oh yeah, one more thing: I've been using the second version of the RPM I made for Red Hat 9 for a few days, and I am very pleased with it :) Like I told Dominik, I didn't like the first one, because it installed in a non-standard location on my Red Hat 9 machine :( Anyway, have a great day, Everyone :) Steven P.
