Since I upgraded my distribution to Kubuntu Feisty, Kplayer doesn't play anything at all anymore. It just says "Error" on the bottom left. The curious thing is that this only happens with my own user, other users on the system can use kplayer fine. I tried deleting the kplayer folder in ~./kde/share/apps, and also to overwrite it with the folder taken from another user's home dir, but no success. Here's a konsole history for an attempt to play an avi file: http://www.unet.univie.ac.at/~a0203357/kplayer_error.txt. Can anybody help me with this?

Could you please do me a favor? Add a -v option in the Additional command line arguments field in Advanced settings, then try playing anything again and post a new console log. This is so that I can fix the bug(s) more easily.
After that, remove the ~/.kde/share/config/kplayerrc file to get KPlayer working again.
