This seems to be a somewhat more rare bug and thus I've had a really hard time reproducing it. I've only been able to reproduce it when running a file by clicking on it from within Konqueror (strange and maybe just coincidence). All I did to reproduce was click on a file so it loads up in kplayer in a smaller state and then choosing maxamize and rinse and repeated quite a few times (each time restoring it.. and closing out kplayer before trying again).
I've unfortunately not been able to capture it happening while using gdb so all I have is the backtrace. I don't know that theres much more I can do to help but if you have any suggestions I'll do what I can. For what it's worth I believe it happened more often in 0.7 than in the newer cvs.
