#53 0.6.3 fails to play due to unsupported command line flags
Using SVN MPlayer from June 22nd 2007 (as packaged by Gentoo Linux), KPlayer 0.6.3 fails to play anything. The messages dock window appears and complains about the "-embeddedfonts" command line parameter being unknown. If I disable embedded fonts in the KPlayer preferences dialog, it complains about "-noembeddedfonts" instead.

Apparently this happens when MPlayer is built without SRT support. After rebuilding with SRT support, the problem disappears.
Maybe KPlayer should check for SRT support before attempting to use related command line arguments, if possible?

That is correct, MPlayer has to be built with libass. Also fontconfig support needs to be compiled into MPlayer.
Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to support every possible MPlayer compile time configuration for now. Sorry about that.
