Hi
I followed the intallation instructions as mentioned in the support page.
it mentioned there: "On first use Google will ask for your consent to access your Google Drive."
well.. this window actually opens but it tell my browser is not supported anymore and then an access_denied box.
could you please help?
Which version of Microsoft Internet Explorer do you use? Even if you usually do not use the Internet Explorer and have a different browser like Chrome or Firefox, the authentication process for the Plugin (or rather .Net) depends on IE.
I don't know what version of IE Google needs at least, but I would guess at least IE 8 is needed.
Alternatively you can do the authentication process on a different computer with a current version of IE and then copy the keepass database (.kdbx) to your current system. IE is not needed after that.

Same problem. Installed KeePass 2.34. Copied in GSyncplugin 2.1.2. I also have IE 11. When I try to Upload to Google Drive, I get: Your browser version is not supported anymore.

It seems the the default .Net Webbrowser (System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser) used to show the Google Authentication web page reports an older version of IE regardless of the IE version actually installed.
I have found a registry fix for the time being until we figure out how to fix the problem properly.
@uran235, I have KeePass version 2.43 and just tried the KPGoogleSync version 3 plugin and I am having this exact problem. I ran the .reg file posted above but it didn't make a difference. That's all I have tried. Please allow me to test your fix.

I got it to work by comparing some registry settings. I have no idea what this means, so please don't mess up your registry. I added a DWORD 32-bit Key named Keepass.exe with Hex value 2af8 to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION.

What worked for me:
Disable Internet Explorer
Add the three Regsettings as Salat Production described it
and then
Dan E's trick with the fourth reg entry.

Hello - I tried all of the fixes above and none worked for me. I am not very good at modifying registries though... Could you please help with an easy fix. Thx.

I'm still running into the same error, but the notification window has changed (so something is different). Here are the steps I took:
from Salat Production
1) disabled IE 11 through control panel
2) added the three reg strings
At this point, the authorization window came up but was distorted and completely unusable (i.e. the "Next" button didn't work and there was no action I could take from the pop up.
From Dan E.
1) added the DWORD 32 bit key
The auth window now "looks" correct, but much different than the original. However the same message comes back (i.e. The browser or app may not be secure...etc...).

It took me a long time and I was able to use KeePass 2.44 and Google Sync Plugin 3.0.1.0 on three PCs. But three PCs, three ways to achieve it... It's a very crappy and "flexible" problem :) You can read here: http://andreasloewer.de/index.php?id=9

Just wanted to share my solution, a lot of the comments here actually helped me come up with the solution to this issue, however it wasnt the individual solutions but rather a combination of solutions that helped me fix this issue as the Google login doesnt work properly in the IE window.
I've posted my solution at the following link for anyone who still has this problem, it includes a simple one click .reg file to apply to relevant settings. Hope it helps!

Yep. Same problem.

Ok, I found a solution.
1. Go to "Control Panel\Programs and Features\Add/Remove Windows Components"
2. Find IEXPLORER and disable it
3. Go to Registry(CMD->Regedit)
4.
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent]
5. Create 3 String Parameters:
[Compatible, Version, Platform] with keys [compatible, Windows NT 6.2, MSIE 10.0]
6. Relogin or Reboot.
7. Profit?

worked, thx. now only a fix for mono on linux is needed
It seems the the default .Net Webbrowser (System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser) used to show the Google Authentication web page reports an older version of IE regardless of the IE version actually installed.
I have found a registry fix for the time being until we figure out how to fix the problem properly.
Import attached .reg file before opening KeePass.
Thanks Salat! That worked like a charm!
I think it's not necessary to disable IExplorer.. So u can skip this section.
Does anybody still have the problem?
Now that I have coded a fix, it seems to me that Google has solved the problem already.
At least I can't reproduce the problem anymore...

@uran235, Same here. Help, Uranium235, help.
I have 2 PCs that it works on, and 2 that it doesn't (allow button disabled).
I was able to resolve by simply entering Dan E's registry settings.

After adding the DWORD 32 bit key from Dan E. I'm getting the attached message, which roughly translates to:
This app has not yet been verified by Google to use Google Login.

You must be using Keepass version 2.44. I get the same thing. I can only
get that fix to work on version 2.43.
