According to the New Features listed under release notes (http://kmymoney2.sourceforge.net/index-home.html)
"Budgets. A new budget feature allows you to specify your future expectations of income and expenditure, and then to compare your actual performance against these. You can use your historical data to have KMyMoney create a basic budget for you."
When creating a new budget, or working with an existing one, I am unable to find any way to use historical data to help create a budget. I am also unable to find any mention of this in the documentation.
Am I missing something, or is this feature not available?
If someone can help me figure out how to do this, I will be happy to update the documentation to help others out.
Thank you!
You have to create a budget, then right-click on it and select Forecast.
That will fill in your budget with the values provided by the forecast. It uses the forecast method you have selected in the Forecast settings (Tools ->Configure KMyMoney... -> Forecast)
I just fixed some section headings in the documentation. Web version of the handbook should be up-to-date any minute.
