I have to check it. But I don't know why you can't use a few worksheets in a single graph. Go back to the first page, choose next active worksheet ( don't change a graph type ), and go forward to the page you was on before. Axes are some kind of different datasets in KMatplot, so they use their own data. Maybe I didn't understand something ? Kamil |

Hello Kamil, It seems that you are reconnected. Great. Hugo said us that you had some problem with your email address. Have you received anyway all the preceeding mails about (this is a summary) - kmatplot strange limitation on display of matrices larger than 40x40 through octave (and probably scilab) - kmatplot wish list - kmatplot debian development package to come - kmatplot development of a more complete octave interface ... If not, the best is perhaps either that you parse the SF mailing list archive to avoid to repost in the mailing list all this stuff or that I send you all the mails (about 50) on your address only ? Bye, Laurent. |

You can try New window/Current dataset or something like that to edit the data as in the KMatplot 0.3. In the graph wizard you can go back to the first page and select other worksheet as a data source, the previous selections remains Kamil |

This is not true. using the graph wizard, i could only select one data source as the input so i needed to place all teh data i needed in to teh one worksheet... but in version 0.3.x i could use teh import data dialog to control thigns a lot easier... any chance of bringing that back please? i have downgraded to version 0.3.1, it does all i need, i just have to install kde2 as well, but hey.... also the font always seems to come out as helvetica on export to ps file... i just change the file by hand though. graphs look very swanky though! thanks in advance! has anyone been able to plot pixmaps with labelled axis? it is a complete catch 22!! you need x axis, y axis and matrix... this version only allows import from 1 worksheet, which means you have to create an extra column and row for that data.... but the column and row labels have to have one extra value than the data... so the matrix has to be bigger... so you go to the wizard, import, and it gets an image up without the axis OK, but try to add those values, and the plot is flat.... what is goign on??? not only that but you can't actually redefine data location after you use the wizard!! so i can't add an axis from a different sheet afetrwards! aaaaHHHH!! this release is driving me mad! please if anybody has any advice! i'm just lucky i have a friends machine running kmatplot 0.3.1.... xhost +<friends machine> me thinks! i have also noticed that in kmatplot 0.4, i can only use data from one sheet for the data and axis labels... this is quite awkward! Sam |

OK, i got a pixmap eventually, although having to select all teh data is a bit annoying.... how can i change teh axis AFTER i have inserted a worksheet? cheers, Sam -- How many priests are needed for a Boston Mass? |

hmm, i must say the new data importer in version 0.4 is not as easy to work with as older versions... and i am havign difficulty finding wheer the data is for old kmp files... anyone any advice for displayign pixmapped data from a matrix when the data is about 300rows and 300columns... i can't even get the image on the screen... and i only barely got the data into a worksheet Sam -- You will remember something that you should not have forgotten. |

yeah, it is a bug in the c compiler, i needed to edit kmatplot/widgets/qscontour.cpp kmatplot/widgets/qscontour.h to remove inline from the declarations. if anyone wants to build with gcc-2.95.3, here is the patch attached. cheers Sam -- To a Californian, the basic difference between the people and the pigeons in New York is that the pigeons don't shit on each other. -- From "East vs. West: The War Between the Coasts |

hi there, Timothy Harris mentioned that you need to remove some of the inline functiosn in header and c files for to get kmatplot to compile on gcc-2.95.3... i have another workaround which i am currently testing... do export CXXFLAGS='-O2 -finline-functions' before the configure script....and liek i said, i will report back if this is in error.. cheers, Sam -- Bart: What the hell's this? it shoudl really be lookign for qt3.0.1, without threads.... but if you haev the correct install of QT3 you should really pass --enable-mt to teh kmatplot configure script... and also, see my next post as well about teh inline functions. cheers Sam -- Live from New York ... It's Saturday Night! |

Hi, I know this subject has been raised already on this mailing list but did not see an answer. The ./configure script is looking for an earlier version of the Qt libraries than specified on the kmatplot web site. Does any one know which is correct. Specific environment is: O/S FreeBSD 4.5 kde 3.0 QT 3 Thanks |

OK, i decided to build the threads version since non-threaded QT3 doesnt support OpenGL... but i get this linker error on the final linkage of kmatplot.... anyone have any solutions? widgets/libplot.a(qscontour.o): In function `QSContour::drawing_fills(void)': qscontour.o(.text+0xee0): undefined reference to `QSContour::find_level_greater_than(double)' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[1]: *** [kmatplot] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/kmatplot-0.4/kmatplot' so obviously QSContour::find_level_greater_than(double) isn't getting included in the link...? i never got his far in the threads version because i got an opengl fail in the demos which the configure script didn't pick up... and i would relaly like OpenGL support. cheers, Sam -- Your depth of comprehension may tend to make you lax in worldly ways. |

Kamil indicated to me about a week or two back that he has lost his internet connection, in the email in which he apologized for taking so long to reply to mine. So I think it's probably just that.
