Greetings
I have a fresh install of ubuntu 13.10 and keepass2 on my work machine. I can open keepass2 (gui), but when I click on a menu icon or a menu-drop-down option my entire system crashes and I'm taken to my Ubuntu login screen. I've tried to do a fresh install of ubuntu 13.10 and keepass2. It is the same.
This may have something to do with my system: Dell optiplex 9020. I used the same ubuntu install cd (iso) on my home pc and keepass2 works fine. Any ideas on what to try to repair this or get it to work?
Have you tried the *nix package?

Check the mono help.

p.s. Opening a new thread under Discussion is easier for us than a Support Request.
The fact that the entire system crashes indicates that the issue is caused by a system component or Mono, not KeePass (KeePass doesn't interact with the system in such a way that the entire desktop could crash).
Best regards,
Dominik
