It is already possible to open a URL in the main KeePass window by double-clicking on the URL. The main KeePass window is intended for displaying and using the data stored in KeePass.

The Add/Edit Entry dialogs are intended for entering data only and don't support actions that use the data (except via copying). This is done in the interest of preserving data integrity.

Like wellread1 wrote, you can open a URL by double-clicking it.

I'm currently not planning to add a middle-click as alternative.
