I want to update a synchronization target (file, password, login-name, ...). Currently I can only select from "Synchronize -> Recent Files" but I cannot even view the settings of a "recent file" to create a new target.
There are no sync settings. It's all or nothing.
You cannot create a new file from a sync.
KeePass uses the open database and the one you choose from the sync menu.
Try File > Synchronize > Synchronize with file, then select the other file.
To make a copy of your database, use Windows Explorer.

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Each sync target in "Synchronize -> Recent Files" has settings which were set when first syncing with that file. These settings are stored within KeePass (otherwise "recent files" wouldn't work). I just want to view / edit them.
Recent files and connection settings are stored in the KeePass configuration file.
The file is plain text in XML format and you can edit it if you are comfortable with XML.

Thanks for the hint. I wrongly assumed that the connections were stored wihtin the crypted kdbx file. The XML is easy to read.
