Hi All,
I love KeePass, but I have a daily annoyance with it that I'd love to bypass.
The problem:
When I open KeePass, it's almost always to search for a specific entry. So, I load the program and start typing into the search bar. When there's an update available, this process is interupted, once per day, by a box that I have to click on.
Once I've been distracted from my indended use, I need to use my 'attention units' to respond to the interuption, then hope that I remember what I was doing in the first place.
I want to have update notifications!
I don't want my intended course of action to be interupted by a 'nag screen' about them.
For those of us who use even a small amount of plugins, these can be quite regular.
A potential solution:
Would it be possible to notify us about updates without interupting our use flow?
If some people like the pop up screen, then this suggestion could be a selectable option.
My guess is that most people would prefer this, but I just know that it would be great for me. I don't like being mildly annoyed, every day, by one of my favourite apps.
Thanks,
Damian
Sorry for posting twice. Please delete this one and keep 2543, "'No Click' Update Notifications (warn, but don't interrupt)"
You do not need updates for KeePass. There are no security holes that will be exploited by drive-bys or malformed web requests.
Turn off the update notification and the issue will go away.
If you really want to be using the latest version, check manually when you have some spare time.
cheers, Paul
