V2.x does not save passowrd entry window last position location in windows 7 (labelled "Open Database".
V2.x does not save curser position/location when database opened. For example it saves last used row but the row fields is not 'selected' so that typing first letter does not autoscroll to those entries with that first letter. This is not a search just an auto locate/scroll to the lines.
3rd time to try 2.x from 1.x - this one so far is a keeper!
What do you mean by "entry window last position"?
KeePass starts with the group that was in focus when you last saved.

In both KeePass 1.x and 2.x the 'Open Database' dialog appears in the middle of the screen. This is intended.
KeePass 2.x does save and restore the top visible group and entry. I don't see any reason to pre-select entries (especially as the focus after opening a database is in the quick search field, which also is intended).
When the entry list has the focus, typing a letter does select and scroll to the next entry whose title starts with this letter.
