Assuming a database has been previously opened via WebDAV and the credentials stored, when the credentials change (server side) Keepass will receive a 401 Unauthorized error.

It's expected that the user be prompted to enter credentials again, instead they're returned to the master key window. They can either retry with bad credentials or hit cancel with no option to enter new credentials.

This is undesirable as the only option is to open the database again via File>Open and re-enter the information, as there's no way to copy the stored url this is a tedious process.

It's working as expected (i.e. not a bug).

However, I like your suggestion, thus moving to open feature requests.

    Thanks and best regards,

I've implemented this now. When opening a database via an URL fails, the error message dialog now has a button 'Specify different server credentials' (on Windows Vista and higher).

Here's the latest development snapshot for testing:

    Thanks and best regards,
