No

It would be helpful to be able to set (and remember) the sort order in the Auto-Type Entry Selection Dialog using the column headers, Currently the sort order appears to be the "native" order.

    Another vote for sorting columns.

This is a feature that I've needed on occasion, BUT it'd only work for me if it can be limited to only affecting one group or subgroup at a time. For people who want to sort their whole database, they'd only need to click on the main header (i.e., the parent of all parents) before using it.

I misinterpreted the intent of this Feature Request, because I read the thread that referred to it more thoroughly than the Request itself. I thought it was more about shortcut procedures to rearrange database records themselves rather than creating an alternate sort order to be used specifically for Auto-Type dialogs. However, I'm leaving my vote for this (even tho I don't use Auto-Type) because I can see that those who do use Auto-Type may well have good reason for showing Auto-Type sequence 2 from database entry Y between Auto-Type sequences 1 and 2 from database entry X - which can't be done with existing tools.

Should I create another Feature Request for quickly rearranging database records, or would that just get folded into this one?

Probably be folded so just make your points here.

Well, I've probably already explained this adequately, but my wish would be for the ability to select a folder and then click some button or menu item to have the physical order of the entries in that folder (but not any subfolders that might exist within the folder) altered to match the currently selected viewing order - so that if I have records titled A, C, D, and E, and then create a new record titled B which by default gets placed after E, I could then sort by title, click this new button, and then turn off sorting to find B still in its "proper" place between A and C.

On a related subject, it'd also be nice (especially if this doesn't get implemented) if the main window would scroll to keep the current record in view, even after I've hit Ctrl+Up forty or fifty times in a row.

Yes please! I have a growing list of phpmuadmin database logins on the same url and it's getting dificult to get the correct entry because they are ordered by creation date.

Please any list of data that human needs to read should be sortable

My entry list looks similar to John-Pierre Cornelissen's; a way to sort entries in the auto type selection dialogue is strongly needed. Please make this a higher priority.

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/alternateautotype/

Besides allowing for additional autotype sequences this plugin enhances the Auto-Type entry selection window:

    • Sortable columns
    • Show DB name if required [1]
    • Click username / password to only auto-type those

[1] Definition of 'required': Auto-Type entry selection lists entries of at least 2 databases

The "autotype the password only" options is almost the same as what KeePass has built in since v2.42.
Only difference and reason for me to keep it in the plugin: My plugin allows to choose between "password only" and "password + ENTER".
