I use Auto-Type to let KeePass enter my password in PuTTY. The sequence is simply {PASSWORD}{ENTER}.
A few days ago I changed my password and since the password inserted by Auto-Type is incorrect, while pasting the password still works. Today I noticed that my password contains a backslash '\' which is not (correctly) inserted when using Auto-Type. It is simply missing.
I do not think that this is a PuTTY issue because pressing the backslash key on my keyboard works quite well; and as far as I understand KeePass should do virtually the exact same thing.
Simultaneously it is not a general Auto-Type problem because the backslash is present when auto-typing in a normal text window in Windows.
Still, in my opinion this is a wrong behaviour.

I cannot reproduce this. KeePass 2.29 auto-types a backslash perfectly fine into a PuTTY window.
Are you using KeePass 2.29? Are you using a variant of PuTTY? What is the PuTTY executable file name?
Best regards,
