Sorting and Rearranging capabilities of KeePass have not changed in KeePass 2.36.
To sort the entry list view: Click on the header of the column you wish to sort. With each click the entry sort order changes between the three possible sort orders: ascending, descending, and not sorted (natural order). Sorting can also be accessed via the menus: View>Sort by
To rearrange entries or group (i.e. change the natural order): Right click on an entry or group and select Rearrange from the context menu.
To show group headers in the main entry view: Select View>Grouping in Entry List from the KeePass menu.
To show subgroups of a selected group in the main entry view: Select View>Show Entries of Sub Groups from the KeePass menu.
Comment:
Settings that are saved (sort order) in the KeePass configuration can be lost during an upgrade if the upgrade is performed in a manner that causes KeePass to lose track of the configuration file.
The natural order of groups and entries (changes made by rearranging), is saved in the database. The user must save the database explicitly to assure that these changes are retained.
