It may be possible, but it is also likely that by the time the user realizes they have a problem the needed files are gone or inaccessible.

What are you trying to do?

I have copied my database file(.kdbx) of keepass before upgrading to windows 10 and now when i am trying to open the file in keepass using windows user account as previously it is throwing

Failed to load the specified file!

    The composite Key is invalid!

Make sure the composite Key is correct and try again.

is there any solution to get back my passwords?

    thanks in advance

Unfortunately revanth there is no way to recover your KeePass data if you've destroyed the original user account (e.g. by upgrading to Windows 10). You should have disabled the composite master key in your database before upgrading.

Copying the .kdbx file is not enough. You need an exact replica of the original user account. That'll be almost impossible for you to recreate.

It's a very dangerous option and that's why users are warned prior to enabling it. The option is there for people who know what they're doing.

Here is the warning you will have been given.

Upgrading to Windows 10 alone doesn't change any existing User accounts.
I did upgrade from Windows 7 to 8 to 8.1 and final to 10.
