The newest 2.x version still lacks the support for Citrix or Remote Desktop based login screens.
This works fine with version 1.x
I mentioned that problem several times in the past and it is a show stopper for using the 2.x in a Corporate environment.

I must revise my first test, version 2.08 works for Citrix now.
But using Remote Desktop or tools which are based on it (Royal TS) it just leaves the login prompt without any error message from MSTSC.EXE. Using the global Hotkey Keepass should have filled out only the password field followed by Enter. There is no error shown in the security event log of the system. Using Keepass 1.x in this scenario works without any problem.

No problem. Well I my typical day calls for me to open a RDP session and log into various servers. Until yesterday when I went from KeePass 1.xx to the 2.xx family(2.08) I had an autotype that filed in my username, tabed down to the password field and put my password in and then clicked on the OK button, thus automatily logging me into that server.

Oops, I forgot to add that now after importing my old database to 2.08 when I press my hot-key the autotype does nothing. I have confirmed that I am pressing the correct hot-key.
thanks

This has been improved according to the 2.08 release notes. I've not tried it myself so not sure if it works in all cases - it's still worth double checking the entries.

I have a Override default sequence in Autotype:
{REF:P@I:f4838e0964376b31cdff151a2fa2af46}{ENTER}
This works if I test it with notepad. It fetches the correct password from the entry.
But in the RDP login dialog it just leaves the login dialog.
Version 1.x works with any program which uses the Microsoft rdp.

Hello Paul,
I start Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe) and select an Host. Its login screen comes up with the userid prefilled. The cursor is in the Password field.
I enter the global hotkey to start Auto-Type.
The login screen is dismissed but no login performed.
The same problem occurs if I use Ctrl-V to get the password send.
I also tried it with a fresh database to avoid problems with the import of my 1.x database.

I am also having the very same problem with RDP.
Please give exact details of how you use it and what does/doesn't happen?
We need to be able to replicate these problems.

Check the target window under the Auto-Type tab - V2 doesn't import Auto-Type properly.

Importing Auto-Type into version 2.08 worked fine for me from version 1. I did have problems with previous versions of version 2.

Please tell us exactly what steps you perform to Auto-Type into the RDP session?

Yes, I seem to get the same problem.
Typing with the keyboard is OK, Auto-Type closes the RDP window.
You should raise a bug report under Tracker.
cheers, Paul
No need, we already have FR 2654176.
