Hello,
I would like to associate an entry in keepass with redhat.com but not with bugzilla.redhat.com. At the moment I have 2 accounts for different Red Hat services - I've got one entry which has the target window string *redhat.com* and the other one has *bugzilla.redhat.com*, If I try to log in to bugzilla I have to choose between the 2 entries offered by a keepass dialog window. If I modify the target window string in the entry for redhat.com to *//?!bugzilla.//redhat.com* the auto-type for redhat.com doesn't work. Is there a solution? Thanks.

I wanted to avoid this solution because i'm not sure if sso is the only host (or can be a subdomain for that matter) where the same credentials can be required. By defining the more general *redhat.com* I'm not required to define various FQDNs for the same entry. Now I realized I haven't formulated the subject of this thread exactly accurately - more likely it should be: "Omit a hostname/subdomain in the target window?" Isn't there really a way to do this the way I would like?

I too ran into this behavior. The root issue for me is that I utilize the global Auto-Type option: "An entry matches if its title is contained in the target window title", this works great for most entries and simplifies usage. The problem is that I've added a specific auto-type match for a situation with a different subdomain with a different window title; the problem is that my entry name is the base domain and is thus in the window title. My solution was to add a trailing underscore to my entry name to "unmatch" it from window title algorithm. This was a better work-around for me and may work for you too.
Ideally, I'd like an option (or default behavior) to exclude the "An entry matches if its title is contained in the target window title" match if a specific auto-type entry is matched; i.e. a specific match automatically "beats" a generic match. Just a thought.

Try these target window strings.
Redhat: *sso.redhat.com*
Bugzilla: *bugzilla.redhat.com*
cheers, Paul

Change the match to the window title instead.
Redhat: Log in to Red Hat*
Bugzilla: *bugzilla*
cheers, Paul
Ok, that'll have to do. Thank you.

The easiest might be an option in the Auto-Type tab for "Use custom sequences only".
