I am running KeePass 2.42.1 on two Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) computers. I try to keep my Key Pass entries in sync on both of them.

Where are my Auto-Type entries stored? Are they stored in my database .kdbx file, along with all of my website Entries, or are they stored somewhere else? I read the Help file, and did a forum search, but I could not find this specific information.

    Thanks,

    Harry

KeePass uses the Title of the entry or data from the Auto-Type tab of the entry.

What problem are you trying to solve? Maybe we can help.

    cheers, Paul

Are you asking about the auto-type sequence?

I guess I didn't explain my question very well. Let me try again.

Each of my KeePass entries has an Auto-Type tab. I use Auto-Type for all of my entries., so I select a Target Window unique to each entry. I do all this on Windows 7 computer #1.

I also have Windows 7 computer #2. I keep KeePass up to date on it by periodically copying the .kdbx file from computer #1 to computer #2.

My question is: does this .kdbx file contain all my Auto-Type entries? And if not, what file do I copy to computer #2 to make sure I have the lastest Auto-Type entries on it?

All KeePass data is stored in your database. This includes anything in the Auto-Type tab of an entry.
The only onformation not stored in the database is configuration data, like window size and position, hot key settings etc.

As you use 2 comuters you can sync rather than copy the databases. This allows you to make changes on either computer.

    cheers, Paul

    Paul:

Thanks for the data storage clarification. This solves my issue for opening this thread.

Also thanks for the sync link. I had notice the sync feature, but never pursued it. I will now.
