Installed today KeePass and since I have never had any software in this regards, I’m kind of lost in regards what to expect or how it works. I thought, and correct me if wrong, that by let’s say “right clicking” on a title and choosing “Perform Auto Type” the web page in question for this title would open, and would than fill in username and password and off we go. If I does this with my Hotmail account, the Start Menu of my PC opens, but not the web-page. However, and staying with the hotmail title, if I double click on the URL (www.hotmail.com) within KeePass,  the web page opens. If I than go back or bring back the window from KeePass from the background , and “right clicking” on the same title, the window changes automatically back to window in which hotmail opened and now it fills in the user name and password automatically as I thought it would be doing. Now, I have nothing in notes, though I tried with  Url-Override: cmd://KeeForm "{URL}" "{USERNAME}" "{PASSWORD}" – but double clicking than on the URL doesn’t bring me anywhere at all. What am I doing wrong ?

KeePass does not work as you expect.
KeePass is designed to store and type passwords for you, then extra bits were added, like open your URL or program, finally others made add-ons like KeeForm (you need to download these separately).
What KeePass does that seems like magic, is to log you into a site/program just by pressing the Global-Auto-Type keys (Ctrl-Alt-A) but the site/program must already be open.
I recommend you read the help file, it is very handy.

      cheers, Paul
