I created a database without key file on my PCLinuxOS KDE system and it works well. When I copied the database file to my LG3 Android tablet to the designated place it also works well there. I can't get it working on my LG3 Android phone. With the tablet I was able to copy from the computer to the tablet via usb. In the case of the phone it will not accept the file so did it via my Gmail but there must have been corruption as it refuses to open. I had installed the Offline KeePass to both Andoid devices.

Are you actually using KeePass on your KDE system? KeePass is a Windows application, although version 2.x can run in mono on Linux. Is that what you're using? How about on your Android devices? KeePass itself doesn't run at all on Android devices, you must be using one of the several Android ports.
What do you mean when your say your phone "will not accept the file"?
Downloading from Gmail should work I suppose...cloud storage (e.g. Drive) would probably be better.
Do you get any error messages when you try opening the database? What are they? At what point do you get them (e.g. after entering the password and hitting the "unlock" button, perhaps)?

I got http://myphotos.mypclinuxos.com/images/phylades/sourceforge1.png from the PCLinuxOS repository and installed the offline version on the android devices. I just tried creating a new database on the phone with the same password and I opened it succefully twice. It is just a shell with no entries so possibly I could import form the database. Now the default named empty database is sitting beside my original named one that came up as not found on the phone before.

KeePassX is not KeePass. It's a different program with a completely different codebase, maintained by a different person, that can operate on the same file format. I'm not sure whether it currently saves in the old .kdb format or the newer .kbdx format. What is your database file's extension?
"the offline version" does not tell us anything about which Android app you are using. The Android apps (there are several) are also not KeePass, they are maintained by different people and have a completely different codebase in many cases. So which are you using? KeePassDroid? KeePass2Android? KeepShare? Something else?
What do you mean by "came up as not found"? When you went to go open the database, where did the process fail? Did you go to the folder where the database is located and your app simply did not even show it to you? Did you see the database and tap to open it and get an error message? Did you tap to open and type in a password and try to unlock and get an error message? Did you actually succeed in unlocking but it comes up with different entries? What is your specific problem?
