KP is not letting me access my current or saved documents. I have perhaps 100+ passwords and other critical information saved in my KP spreadsheet. Now I cannot access anything. I am running the current version of KP 2.

Is there a fix for this?'

I have been using KP for many years. This has never happened before. I keep it updated. I'm guessing my PW has been corrupted -- somehow.

Here is a screen shot of the error message...

**FIXED!!!! ** I downloaded and installed the MOBILE version of version 2.xx That accepted my current PW and I am back in business. IF you are having a similar problem, give the mobile version a try. It worked for me.

HOWEVER, this shouldn't have happened in the first place, I will be looking for a replacement to this program. I've spent too many hours trying to find a fix -- on an otherwise beautiful Sunday.

That message is telling you the file is corrupt, not that the password is wrong. Normally we would recommend you try opening a backup of your database.

There is no "mobile" version of KeePass. What have you installed? (Help > About)
    What did you have installed?

    cheers, Paul

    FIXED!!!!

    Great! That's good to hear.

I downloaded and installed the MOBILE version of version 2.xx That accepted my current PW and I am back in business. IF you are having a similar problem, give the mobile version a try. It worked for me.

As Paul says there is no "mobile version". Do you mean the "Portable" version from the download page? That is exactly the same program as you get from the installer, it's just packaged in a zip file instead of copied to your program files by the installer.

When Paul asked, you said "Version 2.35". Is that the version of KeePass you just installed, or the version you had before, or what?

HOWEVER, this shouldn't have happened in the first place, I will be looking for a replacement to this program. I've spent too many hours trying to find a fix -- on an otherwise beautiful Sunday.

Why do you think KeePass is at fault for this? As far as we can tell there are basically three possibilities:

    1. You opened the wrong file
    2. The file you opened had become corrupted outside of KeePass (hard disk failure, bad antivirus, etc.)
    3. Temporary disk read error?

KeePass doesn't randomly corrupt its own data. And updating your installed version doesn't randomly fix corrupted data. Something else went wrong.
