There is an option under 'import' for Mozilla HTML, I exported my Firefox bookmarks to 'bookmarks.html' and then used this option in KeePass, but nothing happened. Understand that passwords are not stored in that file anyway,so what is the intended purpose of that option? (Thought it might be to import just the urls but that didn't happen either).

I cannot get it to work either, but a JSON import does work.
You can backup the bookmarks to JSON with BackupFox.
cheers, Paul
Thanks for the hint. I've updated the Mozilla Bookmarks HTML importer to support the new format.
Here's the latest development snapshot for testing:

By the way, Firefox can export to JSON without any addon; go 'Bookmarks' -> 'Show All Bookmarks' -> 'Import and Backup' -> 'Backup'.
