    Hi,

    Running Windows 11.

I have two external monitors plus the laptop screen. KeePass is normally on monitor 3 (one of the external monitors).

When I leave the office, I usually suspend the computer (leaving KeePass running). On the road, with only on the built-in monitor, KeePass will work fine on that monitor. When I get back and start/restrore the computer, KeePass will open on monitor 3 again.

However: If I open the File menu with the Alt key, the File menu (and only that) will be on monitor 1 once. If I do something and open the File menu again, it will be on monitor 3 together with the main KeePass window.

The same issue seems to happen with the master password dialog. At first it opens on monitor 1 but if I authenticate and lock the database, it will open on monitor 3 the next time.

It seems like KeePass is caching the main window location and only update it after displaying the menu / master password dialog.

Hope the explaination is clear enough..

    Kind regards,
    Daniel

The position of the 'File' menu and most dialogs are determined by the framework, not by KeePass itself.

Multi-monitor problems are often caused by buggy graphics card drivers (but it could also be a bug in the framework or the operating system). So, my suggestion would be to make sure that it's up-to-date.

    Best regards,
    Dominik
